Salt Lake County deputy sheriffs are seeking a 20-year-old white male who held up Red Hanger Cleaners, 2340 E. 45th South, Wednesday night.
He walked in and said, "Give me the money." Then, after taking an undetermined amount of cash, he said, "I'm sorry" and left, according to deputy Roger Taylor. The bandit brandished a small, dark-colored revolver in the 7:05 p.m. robbery. The lone female clerk was not injured, the deputy said.
The holiday season is a busy one for law enforcement, with more people than usual holding up convenience stores and fast-food restaurants apparently for a little extra cash, according to law enforcement officials.
The nearly four dozen robberies during the past 10 days in Salt Lake County run from holding up a pizza delivery man to holding up a downtown bank. Officials have no leads in the cases.
