Jimmy Carter's acting debut will be a supporting role in a movie starring birds. Carter also paid half the $24,000 cost of making the 28-minute film "Prince of Game Birds: The Bobwhite Quail." The film is produced by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and in it, Carter shoots down a few birds and talks about sports and conservation. "There are days when I can hit them and days when I can't," Carter says in the movie about quail. "But it's just an excitement and a pleasure and I wish I had more time. It makes my daily crowded routine seem like an intrusion into more important things in life when they interfere with my quail hunting." The former president goes on to say the best thing about quail hunting is training the dogs and makes no jokes about Dan Quayle.
