"CBS This Morning" will have a new setting on Friday - Cuba.
The CBS morning show has been granted permission to originate from Cuba for coverage of Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev's visit, CBS announced Tuesday.The producers learned they had received permission for the unusual on-location broadcast Tuesday morning, and later that day co-host Kathleen Sullivan and executive producer David Corvo headed south to prepare.
Sullivan will report from Cuba on Thursday, then will be joined there by co-host Harry Smith on Friday, the day Gorbachev is scheduled to arrive after three days in New York.
