Two Salt Lake County men have died in recent auto accidents, one killed in an auto-pedestrian accident Tuesday morning, the county sheriff's office said.

Killed:Kent W. Gotberg, 33, Holladay

Stephen J. Blackburn, 25, 915 E. 94th South

Gotberg died in St. Mark's Hospital from injuries suffered in a 7 a.m. accident Tuesday, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Gil Howard.

"Mr. Gotberg had gotten off a UTA bus and had walked to the rear of the bus and was crossing 13th East to St. Mark's where he worked when he was hit by a pickup truck," Howard said.

Howard said witnesses told officers the driver of the pickup, Glen L. Roberts, 65, Taylorsville, had the truck's head lights on and was traveling at or below the posted 40-mph speed limit at the time of the accident at 3930 S. 13th East.

Blackburn was killed Sunday afternoon when his vehicle left North Little Cottonwood Road and went into the hillside and rolled several times, a sheriff's report said. Blackburn was ejected from the car as it
