Where was the first temple dedicated in a Spanish-speaking country?

The Santiago Chile Temple, South America's second temple, was the first in a Spanish-speaking country, dedicated on Sept. 15, 1983. South America's first temple, the Sao Paulo Temple, in Brazil where the principal language is Portuguese.

The Mexico City Temple was announced in 1976 and dedicated Dec. 2-4, 1983.
