Responsible adults should adequately chaperone groups. There should be at least one adult (21 years of age or older) for every eight to ten youths and, when traveling, at least one adult per car. Since proper chaperoning is a responsibility of both leaders and parents, parents should be encouraged to assist.
Strict safety precautions should be taken when traveling. Drivers should be older adults and must be experienced, responsible and licensed; they must also have adequate insurance coverage.
