Volunteer actors are being sought by the Museum of Church History and Art for its Pioneer Profiles Program.

The volunteer actors research the lives of actual Mormon pioneers and then portray those pioneers in informal theatrical settings. Wearing authentically reproduced period clothing, the volunteers meet the public in front of the pioneer log cabin located on the museum plaza. The actors teach visitors about early pioneer life in the Salt Lake Valley and relate personal experiences of their pioneer counterparts.

"Men and women with experience in informal theater and an interest in history will find volunteer service in the program extremely rewarding," said Jennifer Lund, museum education coordinater.

Those interested in the program should call Sister Lund for more information at 531-3589. The application deadline is Feb. 26.
