Four ancient Anasazi villages in southern Utah near St. George will be the site of a Brigham Young University archaeology field school this summer.
Sponsored by the department of anthropology and the office of archaeology, the eight-week camping experience will focus on excavation and other field techniques.The field school, located near Santa Clara, Washington County, begins June 20 and runs through Aug. 11. The four villages date from around 1050-1150 A.D.
Those interested may attend from one week to the full summer term. A fee is charged, depending on the student's choice of time commitment.
