A Colorado woman appeared in court Friday on a charges she was under the influence of alcohol Monday while driving the car that slammed head-on into a car driven by a Bountiful woman, who died in the crash.

Julianne Eager, 38, Denver, is charged with vehicle homicide, a third-degree felony. She faces a hearing Tuesday before 5th Circuit Judge Paul Grant.

According to a criminal complaint, Eager was driving the wrong way on the Beck Street overpass of I-15 about 12:30 a.m. Monday when her car struck a vehicle driven by Maryann B. Page, 48, Bountiful, who was killed. Eager was treated for minor injuries then booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.

The complaint states blood tests showed Eager's blood-alcohol level was beyond the legal limit.
