Scores of Utahns put on their walking shoes Saturday for the Church World Service/CROP Walk to combat emergency food supply shortages. Participants from Salt Lake City, shown here, and the Brigham City and Provo-Orem areas _ many decorated with or carrying balloons _ joined in walk-a-thons, part of the weekend's "Hunger Sabbath '88." They brought canned goods to the walk for local food pantries and solicited sponsors willing to pay for each mile walked.
