SHARE UTAH ASSOCIATION OF CPAS ELECTS PRESIDENT OF DOWNTOWN CHAPTER

Richard A. Haynie, chairman of the board and stockholder of Haynie and Co., a Salt Lake certified public accounting company started in 1960, has been elected president of the downtown chapter of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.

The chapter has 500 members in Salt Lake, Tooele and Summit counties.Other officers are Teresa Scott, a sole practitioner in Salt Lake City, president-elect; Charles Huber, a partner with Huber, Erickson & Butler, vice president; and Gary Miyasaki, an audit partner with Bushman and Associates, secretary-treasurer.

Haynie received his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1953 and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs. He recently completed a term as president of the International Group of Accounting Firms, an accounting association consisting of 75 CPA firms in North America.
