The Utah Department of Health's 31-member AIDS Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. May 11 in 125 Cannon Health Building, 288 N. 1460 West.

Dr. Brett Lazar, director of the Utah Division of Community Health, will report on alternatives to the AIDS bills vetoed by Gov. Norm Bangerter. Separate department committees are reviewing HB220, "AIDS Testing and Reporting for Protection of Emergency Medical Service Providers," and SB113, "Confidentiality of Communicable Disease Information."Meanwhile, the health department is hearing public comment on protecting the confidentiality of the records of patients with AIDS or other communicable diseases.
