The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will consider granting Oliver L. North limited immunity to get him to turn over 2,848 pages of notes he took while a key White House operative in the Iran-Contra affair. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., said such immunity is among the options the panel will consider as it seeks to wrap up its probe of connections between U.S. aid to Nicaragua's Contra rebels and Latin American drug trafficking. Other possibilities include subpoenaing North's Washington lawyer, Brendan V. Sullivan Jr., and enlisting the help of executive branch agencies that should rightfully have the documents, say Kerry and his aides.
