Michael S. Funk has been appointed as Layton constable for the remainder of 1988 by the Davis County Commission.
Funk, a Republican who is the only candidate seeking the remaining two years of the constable term in this fall's election, lives in Layton.The constable and approved deputies serve court summonses and subpoenas in the Layton area.
