The Junior League Thrift Shop, for 20 years an on-going fundraising project for the Junior League of Salt Lake City, is closing. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, league members will say farewell to the shop with a half-price sale and refreshments.

The Thrift Shop is at 952 E. Ninth South.Since the Junior League members have known for some time that the property owner had the Thrift Shop up for sale, they have redirected their fundraising efforts and started helping low-income families in other ways - such as working for the homeless. Thanking the public for its support, director Pat Johnson and manager Noreen Richardson, invite people to continue to support the league's twice yearly rummage sale and Christmas toy sale.
