A tour of southern Utah by members of a U.S. Bureau of Land Management advisory council will be featured in the cover story of CBS's "Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt" May 15 at 8 a.m. on KSL.
The BLM National Land Management Advisory Council visited the state recently to study such issues as wilderness designation, the status of Utah's uranium and coal industries, the Burr Trail and cooperation between the BLM and National Park Service.Rep. Howard Nielson, R-Utah, who was on the tour, issued a press release urging Utahns to watch the program to gain perspective on controversy over public lands management.
"These are issues that mean economic survival for many southern Utahns," Nielson said.
