The owner of a Holladay video rental store says he will donate the proceeds of rentals on the Saturday before Mother's Day to the Anna Holmes Children's Trust Fund and is asking other video stores to do the same.
Holmes was shot by a robber while renting a movie at a Kearns video store for her daughters' slumber party April 22. She died shortly after giving birth to a girl by Caesarean section.Vern Dickman, owner of Video Vern's, said since the shooting happened in a video store, he and his wife decided it was appropriate to help the family.
They picked the day before Mother's Day because it is traditionally a big business day.
