Theft suspect Robert Hulse, 26, yells at a photographer as police remove a watch he was wearing and replace it with handcuffs. Hulse was arrested shortly after his car crashed into a bollard at South Temple and Main streets about 1:20 p.m. Friday, according to Salt Lake Police Officer Rick Fowler. Moments earlier, a man had entered Time Shop Jewelers, 15 W. South Temple, put a $200 watch on his wrist, grabbed a $300 watch from the counter and fled, jumping into a car parked in front of the business. Two employees followed and jumped into the car through the passenger window. A struggle ensued, the stick shift was thrown into the park position, and the car crashed as it turned south onto Main, Fowler said.
