A young woman was in serious condition at LDS Hospital Saturday afternoon following a morning car accident in West Valley City, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Marie Christensen, 18, no address available, was flown by helicopter to the hospital after a car she was in collided with another car at 6400 W. 21st South. A UHP spokeswoman did not know the circumstances of the accident.Brian Christensen, 22, Salt Lake County, the driver of the car in which Marie Christensen was riding, and the driver of a second car, Arlo Richens, 18, Salt Lake City, were both injured and taken to Pioneer Valley Hospital, the spokeswoman said.

A Pioneer Valley Hospital spokeswoman would not reveal the condition of either person.
