The U.S. Army is considering closing the comment period for the proposed biological warfare defense test facility at Dugway Proving Ground on July 18.
Though Rep. Wayne Owens, D-Utah, announced the date, an Army spokesman at the Pentagon said the date had not yet been made official as of Friday.The Army plans to ask for money in the fiscal 1991 budget to design the test chamber and $5.1 million in 1992 to build it if the Defense Department goes ahead with the project.
