Entrepreneurs are characterized as intuitive thinkers focused on the future, while small-business owners prefer the here and now and are intent on seeing to details, says a new study by Inc. magazine.

A poll of 151 founders and co-founders of Inc. 500 companies found these entrepreneurs to be introverted, thinking and perceiving, according to Charles Ginn, director of the Cincinnati Small Business Development Center.
