A trial for the four suspects in the shooting-cremation deaths of two Navajo Tribal Police officers has been scheduled July 5 by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Greene.

Thomas Cly and Marques Atene, both 22, Vinton Bedonie, 31; and Ben Atene Jr., 24 all pleaded innocent to charges of first-degree murder charges contained in an indictment handed up last week.

The four were indicted in connection with the deaths of officers Andy Begay and Roy Lee Stanely, found shot and burned in the back of a burned police van on the Navajo Indian Reservation in remote southeastern Utah in December.
