A man armed with a Davy Crockett-style black powder pistol robbed a West Valley City grocery store Saturday, netting an undetermined amount of cash, an official said.

The man entered the grocery store at 4024 S. Redwood Road about 3 p.m. and demanded money from a clerk, West Valley City Police Sgt. Randy Pond said.

Officers are searching for a white male, 25-30 years old, 6-foot-2, and mustachioed, Pond said. Witnesses told police the gunman fled south on Redwood Road in a small, dark-blue car, Pond said.
