Donna L. Boland has been named associate dean of the baccalaureate program in Brigham Young University's College of Nursing. She succeeds Jewel A. Bartholomew, who will retire after 18 years at BYU.
The appointment is effective July 1, according to June Leifson, dean of the college.Boland joined the BYU faculty in 1986. She is president-elect of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society and a member of the Utah State Board of Nursing.
The new associate dean, a cum laude graduate of State University of New York at Utica/Rome, obtained her master's degree at Russell Sage College and her doctorate at the University of Utah.
