Attempted criminal homicide charges have been filed against a Salt Lake County man in connection with a shooting Monday night.

Marvin V. Carlson, 35, 871 W. Creek Bend Drive, No. 1912, was charged with shooting Garrick Rowley in the neck, according to documents filed in 3rd Circuit Court.According to a Salt Lake County sheriff's office report, Rowley, 24, was shot after an argument with his wife about the custody of his children. Rowley, who was released Thursday from St. Mark's Hospital, was shot while sitting behind the wheel of his vehicle outside of Carlson's apartment.
