The investigation is continuing into an auto-pedestrian accident Thursday that claimed two children, a Heber City sister and brother killed as they waited for a morning school bus.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Doug Twitchell said Crystal Ann Givens, 8, and her brother Clinton, 5, the children of Glade and Sharon Givens, were waiting in front of their home on U.S. 40 north of Heber City about 7:25 a.m. Thursday when they were struck by a car driven by Jean Kip Deffendol, 19, Midway, Wasatch County.

Twichell said the children were not on the road, and the vehicle left the highway before hitting them.
