Members of a U.S. veterans' peace convoy marked the ninth anniversary of Nicaragua's Sandinista revolution by criticizing the U.S. government for delaying their delivery of aid to those who have been hurt by civil war in the Central American country. "The convoy's slogan - `feed the children and not the war' - is not just a phrase. It reflects the thoughts of the majority of American people who want to show solidarity with the people of Nicaragua," Bob Livesey, a convoy organizer, said in front of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City Tuesday. The convoy was scheduled to arrive in Managua about July 24.
