Deseret News staff writer Lee Davidson got quite a few requests for interviews at the Democratic Convention that concluded Thursday.
But folks thought Davidson, 30, was Garrison Keillor, as in "Prairie Home Companion."Delegate Ron Yengich asked Utah Democratic Party chief Randy Hor-iuchi why the author of "Lake Wo-begon Days" was following them around.
But, no, it was just Davidson do-il14l,6p4
ing his job of covering the Utah delegation.
A San Francisco radio reporter had her tape recorder ready, and told Davidson she needed some comments from him for her audience. Davidson said, "I don't think I am who you think I am."
Keillor, whose books have hit the best seller lists and National Public Radio program, "Prairie Home Companion," was a companion to many Utahns on Saturday afternoons and also attended the convention.
