Highway crashes during the weekend claimed the lives of a Kearns man and a Colorado girl.
DEAD:Amy Malone Davis, 16, Aspen, Colo.
Roger B. Anderson, 40, 4884 Niagara Way, Kearns.
Anderson was killed Saturday evening in a rollover on U-68 west of Utah Lake and two miles north of Ireco Inc. in Lehi, Utah Highway Patrol officials said.
Patricia Mace, 40, also of Kearns, a passenger in the car driven by Anderson, was in serious but stable condition Monday morning at University Hospital. She suffered a broken back and arm and hip injuries.
Anderson and Mace were taken to American Fork Hospital, where Anderson was pronounced dead. Mace was later transported by air amubulance to University Hospital.
Davis died Saturday afternoon when the van she was driving drifted off U-24 10 miles north of Hanksville.
The girl's parents, Susan Jackson Davis, 46, and Stony Davis, 47, both of Aspen, were in fair condition at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Junction, Colo.
A Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher said the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll six times. The girl, who had just received her driver's license, was pronounced dead at the scene.
