Lawmakers from South and North Korea wrangled Saturday over co-hosting the upcoming Seoul Olympics but agreed to meet again early next week to continue talks on a proposed South-North parliamentary conference.
A vehement argument erupted an hour into the session when a delegate from North Korea said the upcoming Summer Olympics should be co-hosted by both countries in the interest of national reconciliation and unity. The 10 southern delegates agreed in principle but said it was too late with only 28 days remaining before the opening of the Olympic Games.
