Three people were killed in weekend car accidents, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Dead:Janiel Lohnes, 41, Tooele.

Craig Lohnes, 43, Tooele.

Anthony Paul Harrison, 24, no address available.

The Tooele couple died from injuries suffered in a train-truck collision, Utah Highway Patrol trooper Jim Smith said Sunday.

The couple's pickup truck was eastbound U-112 and apparently failed to stop at the rail crossing in Tooele, Smith said. The southbound Union Pacific freight train broadsided the car broadside, Smith said.

Craig Lohnes was dead at the scene of the 9:40 p.m. accident, ahd his wife was dead on arrival.

The patrol said Harrison died in a one-car rollover on U.S. Highway 189 near Kamas, Summit County. Harrison was a passenger in a car driven by Quint Evans, 22, West Jordan, that went off the two-lane highway, a dispatcher said.

Evans was in serious but stable condition at University of Utah Hospital.
