An Ogden man was bound over Tuesday to stand trial for the shooting death of another man.
Danilo Pascual is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting Todd Salazar, 24, Ogden, in the back June 25 on 33rd Street.Pascual appeared for a preliminary hearing before 2nd Circuit Judge Stanton Taylor. The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 10 in 2nd District Court.
Prosecutors charge that Pascual got involved in a fight with some other men when Salazar tired to break it up. Pascual is accused of pistol-whipping Salazar, who took off running before he was shot in the back. The victim collapsed in a driveway at 245 33rd St.
Pascual remains in the Weber County Jail on $10,000 bond.
