Salt Lake police are looking for a lost lion with a broken front paw, but citizens need not fear.
Up until last week, the 200-pound, fiberglass lion was one of the two lion gargoyles that stood at the main entrance to the China City restaurant, 1142 E. 39th South. But early Friday, vandals apparently thought the lion gargoyle, valued at $1,700, would look better elsewhere and removed him from his cement stand.Dennis Lui, owner of the restaurant, said he is in the process of replacing the lion, but the search may be difficult.

Lui said in order for him to replace the lion he would probably have to buy a pair of them at a cost of $2,500.
