SHARE IDAHO FIRM WINS CONTRACT TO BUILD CUP’S 4.8 MILE ALPINE AQUEDUCT

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has awarded a $2.9 million contract to an Idaho contractor to build the Alpine Aqueduct of the Central Utah Project's Bonneville Unit.

When completed, the aqueduct will carry water from the Utah Valley water- treatment facility to Orem.The contract was awarded to HK Contractors Inc., Idaho Falls. The company will build a 4.8-mile concrete and steel-lined pipeline that will vary from 16 to 32 inches in diameter. Work will take about 15 months to complete.
