In order to protect against accidents, the control of baptismal fonts by local leaders is essential. An adult should be asked to control the font any time the font is open to be cleaned, filled or used during a baptismal service. This person should also be assigned to dreain and secure the font. An empty font is secured when the doorse from the font to restrooms, the access doors to the font stairs, and the folding partition at the font viewing area are closed and locked.
