Five LDS young men who were among Marine Corps recruits on month-long field exercises requested permission to hold sacrament meeting, Suday, Sept 4. the most suitable place for the meeting was an old training helicopter.

"It was amazing how quickly the spirit came to us in this quiet spot away from everyone else," said Dick Harper, a recruit form mesa, Ariz.They used crackers from their MRE (Meals, Ready to Eat) kits, and canteen water for the sacrament. "This was an experience we won't forget because we have grown closer together as Church members and friends in the same platoon. We have a spiritual bond," said Marque Randall of Sandy, Utah.
