A compact network computer terminal developed by the Daedalus Group of Salt Lake City, a division of Micro Security Systems Inc., is being introduced during the national Networld 88 computer convention in Dallas, Texas.

Steven Whittaker, Daedalus president, said the Netstation 86 system is the first inexpensive, flexible netstation to work with all three of the major network configurations, Ethernet, Arcnet and Token Ring. The terminal is three inches high, 13 inches wide and 91/2 inches deep and is compact enough to fit beneath a standard monitor.

"We anticipate the new computer will become the standard for business use and offices and it will benefit the industry by simplifying major network configurations and increasing productivity and flexibility," Whittaker said.

Whittaker expects sales to reach 100,000 units by the end of 1988 with worldwide distribution. He said the company intends to keep the offices in Salt Lake City as its gears up to supply national and international markets.
