SHARE Y. LECTURES TO FOCUS ON NOBEL WINNERS

Nobel Prize winners and the subjects of their investigations are the topic of the Flea Market of Ideas lecture series, which continues Jan. 18 and 19 at Brigham Young University.

Sponsored by the Honors Program, the free lectures are held daily at 1 and 2 p.m. in 321 Wilkinson Center.J. R. Kearl, dean of honors and general education at BYU, will lecture on "Malthus and the Economists: the Causes and Consequences of Economic Growth" at 1 p.m. Wednesday. BYU law professor Robert Riggs will try to answer the question, "Does the U.N. Deserve the Peace Prize?" at 2 p.m.

Astronomy and physics professor Steven E. Jones will discuss "Neutrinos and the Nobel Prize for Physics" at 1 p.m. Thursday. William Lang, a visiting associate professor of mathematics at BYU, will discuss the accomplishments of the 1986 Fields Medal winner G. Faltings at 2 p.m.
