The Utah Society of Fund Raisers has elected Arthur J. Swindle, director of development at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, as its president.
The Utah Society of Fund Raisers' more than 125 members are development officers of various universities, art organizations, community support groups and other charities, said Swindle, who has been at the University of Utah for 10 years, serving as director of planned giving before accepting his current position.He said the society members meet regularly "to share ideas and improve development skills with the ultimate goal of providing more and better services to Utah citizens."
New executive members include Jean Bradshaw, executive director of Holy Cross Hospital Foundation; Victor Morris, associate director of LDS Hospital-Deseret Foundation; Kerry Belnap, associate director of development for Utah State University; Frances Caldwell, director of development at Ballet West and corporate treasurer for Salt Lake City-based Del-Rio Resources Inc.; and Edward John, president of Edward F. John and Associates and vice president of resource utilization and endowments for United Way.
In addition, Lisa Brodbeck Fall, executive director of the Utah Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, was named secretary.
