In their first meet of the season, BYU's women gymnasts produced their highest opening score ever in a 182.85 to 175.35 defeat of the University of Washington on Friday night. Southern Utah State entered the meet with just five gymnasts and tallied 160.65 points.
Cougar freshman Korie Jackman, Springville, won the all-around with a school record 37.85, and set another school record on the beam with 9.65.
