Leaders of a Palestinian uprising rejected a proposal by Israel's defense minister on Monday as Israel's attorney general said he would review army rules to shoot protestors in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The 33rd leaflet issued by the Unified National Leadership, underground chiefs of the 13-month revolt, rejected a plan by Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin for elections in the occupied territories."We will continue to reject all Israeli political elections and all autonomy . . . and the slogan of `saving what we can save' from our land," the leaflet said.
