A fire early Tuesday morning damaged an Avenues home and caused minor injuries to a teenage boy.
Firefighters responded at 2:04 a.m. to the home at 1205 E. Second Avenue to find a rear addition 70 percent involved, said Battalion Chief Gordon Nicholl.The blaze, which caused about $20,000 damage, was under control by about 2:20 a.m.
A 15-year-old boy was taken to University Hospital, where he was treated for a minor burn to the foot and released.
Nicholl said the fire, which may have started in a bedroom, is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious.
