A man who witnesses said wanted to make freeway traffic move faster so one of his passengers could get to a bathroom has been charged in the shooting death Dec. 3 of another motorist.
Darryl Ray Poole, 19, was held without bail Thursday on charges of murder and firing into an occupied vehicle in the slaying of Lawrence Ellingsen, 53.Poole had four passengers in his car and was driving behind Ellingsen and his wife, Sherri, according to police.
The passengers said Poole told them he was "going to make traffic speed up" because one of them had to go to the bathroom, said Sgt. Dan Voznik.
