FORMER PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT FERDINAND MARCOS WAS RESTING AT HOME AFTER SPENDING A WEEK IN A HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, AN AIDE SAID. MARCOS, 71, LEFT ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER IN HONOLULU BY PRIVATE AMBULANCE THURSDAY ACCOMPANIED BY HIS WIFE, IMELDA, AND DOCTORS, SAID HOSPITAL SPOKESWOMAN NORMA KOP. CALLS TO MARCOS' PHYSICIANS WERE NOT RETURNED. MARCOS SPOKESMAN GEMINO TRINIDAD SAID THE OUSTED PHILIPPINE LEADER WOULD HAVE ROUND-THE-CLOCK CARE. IT WAS HIS SECOND HOSPITILIZATION IN A MONTH. MARCOS SPENT NINE DAYS AT ST. FRANCIS IN DECEMBER WITH WHAT AIDES SAID WAS CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, IN WHICH THE HEART IS TOO WEAK TO PUMP THE AMOUNT OF BLOOD REQUIRED BY THE BODY. A FEDERAL COURT HEARING IS SCHEDULED FOR JAN. 19 IN NEW YORK TO DETERMINE WHETHER MARCOS IS HEALTHY ENOUGH TO BE ARRAIGNED THERE ON RACKETEERING CHARGES. THE MARCOSES WERE INDICTED OCT. 21 ON CHARGES THEY PLUNDERED THEIR HOMELAND OF MORE THAN $100 MILLION AND STASHED MUCH OF THE MONEY IN THE UNITED STATES.
