President Bush's wartime heroics will be portrayed in a TV movie with Roger Ailes, one of Bush's most important campaign advisers, serving as co-producer, the Los Angeles Times reports. "Why should a total stranger do it?" said Ailes, who will be working with Brandon Stoddard, former head of ABC Entertainment. Bush, a Navy pilot during World War II, was shot down by the Japanese in September 1944 and rescued by a submarine. He won't appear in the movie or participate in making it, other than making research materials available, including letters he wrote to his mother during the war. The project was born when writer-producer Stuart Birnbaum envisioned a film along the lines of "PT 109," a film about John F. Kennedy's World War II exploits.
