SHARE EXERCISES AT RANGE PLANNED

More than 100 aircraft from the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps will participate in a five-day training exercise at the Utah Test and Training Range next week, according to a Hill Air Force Base spokesman.

The training is part of Quick Force 90-1, an exercise sponsored by the U.S. Central Command Forces. Members of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing and the 419th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hill will participate, along with more than 30 other combined services units.The purpose of Quick Force is to increase combat capabilities and readiness of units in a realistic setting, according to the Air Force.

Specific objectives of the exercise include training air battle managers, developing air combat leaders, conducting realistic training in a simulated combat environment and improving procedures for weapons delivery, according to the Air Force.
