Richard Bradford, the valley's economic development director, has been elected president of the Utah Industrial Development Executives Association.

Bradford, executive director of the Utah Valley Economic Development Association, said his goals as president of the executives association include "getting together all the parties in the state interested in economic development and raising the professional level of economic development in Utah."Bradford said he hopes to encourage increased cooperation between the state's Economic Development Office and individual chambers of commerce.

"We feel that Utah is on the verge of some very exciting growth, and we think now more than ever we need professional people to assure that that growth takes the proper form in the state," he said. "We want to make sure Utah puts its best foot forward."

The executives association comprises bankers, real estate agents, developers, contractors and economic development professionals from throughout the state.
