A 14-year-old Alpine boy died in a motorcycle accident eight miles south of Levan Thursday afternoon.

Troy Fish, son of Marlene and Gary Fish, was pronounced dead at Central Valley Medical Center, where he was taken by East Juab County Ambulance following the 1:30 p.m. accident, said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Lance Bushnell.Bushnell said the youth was crossing an intersection where a small side road crosses U-28, when his motorcycle struck the front wheel of the tractor of a tractor-trailer unit. Fish and his motorbike were pushed to the left side of the highway, said Bushnell.

Bushnell said Fish was not wearing a helmet.

Fish was visiting relatives at the Hunt Ranch nearby. The truck was owned by Robinson Transport of Salina.
