Plainclothes policemen guard the entrance of U.S. Ambassador Donald Gregg's residence in Seoul, South Korea, Friday. Earlier, six radical students armed with homemade bombs, tear gas grenades and steel pipes stormed the house and began smashing artwork, lamps and pottery. Gregg and his wife, Meg, escaped through a side door minutes after the invaders stormed the home. Police used tear gas to overpower the students, who were protesting U.S. pressure on South Korea to lower trade barriers.
