Laurel and Hardy fans will want to circle Thursday, Oct. 19, on their calendars so they won't miss the Organ Loft's program of silent shorts starring the comedy team, accompanied by a live organ score.

Included in the program are Stan and Ollie's first official teaming, "The Second Hundred Years," and "Two Tars," which fans and critics agree is one of their most hilarious films - they play two sailors out for a joy ride with their girls who get stuck in traffic and wind up leading the destruction of a long line of cars. The 90-minute program consists of four short films, a taped interview with the late Stan Laurel himself and live musical accompaniment on the Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ.

The show is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Organ Loft, located at 3331 Edison St. (a half-block east of State Street at 3300 South). Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children.
